APMC Unmatching Process Guide 2018 : Days Before the Internship

Here are the basic things that you should consider before anything else:
1. Contact numbers of the Person/Institution (I-ask mo na lahat ng requirements na kailangan and kanino iaaddress ang letters na isusubmit mo) Also, to know kung kailan ang opening hours ng office nila. You can google the contact numbers which can be seen sa mga official websites nila.

2. Complete Name of the Person/Institution that your letters need to be addressed (APMC, hospital 1 and hospital 2)

3. A fully charged battery, wifi (useful), and pamasahe.

4. At least two photocopies of every document that you will possess.

There are six important letters in this process:
1. 2 Intent of Release Letters (This is personally made. One is addressed hospital 1, kung saan ka na-match para irelease ka nila, and 2nd sa APMC. Take note, SAME CONTENT, DIFFERENT ADDRESS)
2. Release Letter (from the hospital 1, kung saan ka na-match)
3. Endorsement Letter (from APMC)
4. Acceptance Letter (from the hospital 2, na lilipatan mo)
5. Matching Letter and pink form (from APMC)

Detailed steps for unmatching:
1. Secure your slot on the hospital you wish to transfer (Hospital 2). Go to the hospital first where you want to be transfered. Maging friendly sa secretary, you'll never know baka may favor kang hingiin along the process :) Also, kung sure na sure ka na talagang lumipat, try to give them assurance na lilipat ka by submitting partial of the requirements like photocopy of your diploma, TOR, Certificate of grades, 2x2 pic etc. You should also get the email address of the office which will be useful sa next part ng process. Inform them as early as now na i-eemail mo na lang yung endorsement letter from APMC para sila na ang magemail sa APMC ng Acceptance Letter.

2. After securing your slot, punta ka na sa hospital kung saan ka na-match (Hospital 1). Submit the first Intent of Release Letter. The duration of this process varies from every institution. Swerte mo kung ung magsisign ng release letter nila is available. In my experience, I was advised na next week pa daw dadating yung magsisign, so I thought late na ko magstart ng Internship. But then the next day after I submitted my intent of release letter, I called the hospital and available na daw ang Release Letter. What a relief! So better call the hospital every day para updated ka sa mga ganap. Don't forget to have it photocopied of at least 2!

3. After you get the Release Letter na bigay ng hospital 1, you can now proceed to APMC located at 6th flr, Future Point Plaza 1, Panay Ave., Quezon City. (for complete travel guide, pls refer below).
Before going there, make sure you have all the requirements to get the Endorsement Letter:
1. Original copy of Release Letter (from Hospital 1)
2. Intent of release Letter (personally made, addressed to APMC)
3. 2,000 Php unmatching fee

At APMC building, pipila muna kayo sa lobby then tatawagin every 5 people para umakyat. Inside the office, I met Ma'am Beky, sobrang bait and thoughtful. Sa kanya mo isusubmit yung 3 requirements na sinabi ko kanina. After that, she will hand you the Endorsement Letter.

There are two paths you can take in this process:

A. Once you already have the Endorsement Letter, you can go back to Hospital 2 and submit it. Afterwards, bibigyan ka nila ng Acceptance Letter na ipapasa mo ulit sa APMC to get the Matching Letter and pink form which is isusubmit mo ulit sa Hospital 2... (Haggard!)

or

B. Like I said, you can take picture of the endorsement letter and send it to the email of Hospital 2. In this case, Hospital 2 will review your endorsement letter and then sila na ang mag eemail ng Acceptance Letter sa APMC. So in short, habang nasa APMC ka, marereceive nila yung Acceptance Letter from Hospital 2 so that you can get the Matching Letter plus the pink form which requires the photocopy of diploma. Then, you can leave APMC and submit what they gave you to Hospital 2 at once.

After all these steps, you can now accomplish other requirements from your hospital of choice but basically you are already finished with the unmatching process from APMC. Wala akong naging problem or delay sa APMC, only the Hospital 1 and 2 lang since kailangan magantay ng magsisign for the papers. You can actually finish the whole process by 2-4 days depending on the situation of the institution. Congratulations doc!

Travel guide to APMC:
Future Point Plaza 1 Condominium, 112 Panay Avenue., South Triangle Quezon City 1103 Philippines, 112 Panay Ave, Diliman, Quezon City

1. Para sa mga taga-South, MRT is still the cheapest and fastest way to get there. Kung galing Baclaran/Taft, the fee is 28 Php. Bababa ka sa Quezon ave. station. From the train exit, take upstairs para makatawid ka sa kabilang side ng EDSA. Then may makikita kang Mcdonalds pagkababa ng MRT terminal. Just walk a little bit towards Panay avenue then merong tricycles which is 20Php hanggang Future point plaza 1.

2. To those who came from Manila Taft area, you can take jeepneys or fxs with FAIRVIEW sign on it. Magpababa ka lang sa "Crossings" National bookstore along Quezon ave. Besides the NBS, may Mercury Drug and Jollibee as well. Future Point Plaza 1 is walking distance from there.

I do hope this blog will help you a lot. Good luck and God bless on your internship.
